OCUP Certification Overview

OMG created OCUP to provide a certification, an objective indication, of your knowledge of UML®, OMG's Unified Modeling Language™. 

The OCUP Program is a joint program of OMG and the UML Technology Institute (UTI).

Fundamental Level means: you can work with most UML elements, you can create simple UML models, and you are qualified to be a member of a UML Development Team.

Study Group Session Facilitation

Each Study Participant is expected to volunteer to facilitate one or more study group sessions.

Knowledge sharing versus Training. Preparation Tips and Guidelines are available. Our goal is to provide adequate discussion time

without feeling undue pressure to move on. OCUP Study Guide will be main source of study

material.

The OCUP program is focused on UML ‘grammar, structure and syntax’ (equivalent to learning English grammar and studying the dictionary) Remember those dry English books in high school?

The standard and the study materials DO NOT address how to apply UML ( learning to speak the English language).

The test is NOT trivial

most? Is having each study group participant lead a

session a realistic goal? Is twelve weeks too long for a study group? Do you have study group fatigue?

testing sites and services for the OCUP Program. Exam Cost: $200 USD Study Material Cost: ~$30-40 USD
