Pebble Art: The Next Great Thing in Art. Who knew you could create so many different things from just a few small stones and coloured glass?

Dance of the Butterflies?Our outing to the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory proved to be very educational and amusing! Pictured above, two butterflies flit around the heads of Diana, Delora and Joan; timed just right, one butterfly creates a distinguished look for Delora, while the other reveals the beauty of the Blue Morpho Butterfly. Others landed on hats, walkers and shirts. We even managed to capture a picture of our logo “mascot” – the Monarch Butterfly.

CHEERS to a great Wine tour at Megalomaniac. Not only was the wine a delight, but the view was spectacular!

OCTOBER IS HERE, AND WITH IT COMES HALLOWEEN! TO GET INTO THE SPOOKY SPIRIT, ENJOY THIS LIST FEATURING

Can you guess which scary film these iconic quotes belong to? Bonus points if you can guess the character who says them, and the actor, too!

FAIRMONT BANFF SPRINGS HOTEL, ALBERTAKnown for its awesome views of the mountains, it’s also a good place to look for ghosts! Some visitors and staff say they’ve seen a ghostly bride walking up and down the hotel’s marble staircases. A couple of the rooms are supposed to have spirits that cause noises and otherwise make it hard for people to get a good sleep. There’s also the ghost of Sam the Bellman, who sometimes mysteriously assists guests with their luggage!

GIBRALTAR POINT LIGHTHOUSE, ONTARIOBuilt of stone in 1908, the lighthouse kept watch from the Toronto Islands over Lake Ontario. People have heard moaning from the inside lighthouse and have seen a light there even though it’s been out of use for decades. More logical people say that the noises are likely birds and the light is the moon reflecting off the glass at the top of the lighthouse.

CRAIGDARROCH CASTLE, BRITISH COLUMBIAOne of Victoria’s top tourist attractions, visitors to the restored castle have reported hearing a piano playing as they walk through the halls – with no sign of a piano or its player anywhere in sight! A ghostly woman in white, supposedly the wife of the first owner, has been spotted several times looking out the castle’s windows.

FORT GARRY HOTEL, MANITOBAOver the years, many guests have reported ghostly figures in the halls, rattling silverware, and spooky noises. This hasn’t hurt the hotel’s business at all — some people actually request to stay in the rooms that are supposed to be the most haunted!
