Hi everyone! It’s hard to believe September is over. Our first month ran smoothly. The children are adjusting nicely. Our Month’s Topics:
Language Arts: continuing with name recognition, letter themed projects, exploring the alphabet and the letter sounds.
Math: circles, calendar math (counting), numbers 0 and 1
Science: apples, pumpkins, fire prevention
Religion: St. Francis of Assisi, Halloween
Social Studies: Christopher Columbus
Colors : black and orange
Art: seasonally related projects
Nursery Rhymes: Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, Little Miss Muffet, Old Mother Hubbard
Show and Tell Week of September 30th – bring in something that’s a circle
Week of October 7th – something black
Week of October 14th – something orange
Week of October 21st – one of something Week October 28th – something fall or Halloween related
Upcoming Events
Sharing is caring! On Thursday, October 4th please have your child bring in their favorite stuffed animal to talk about.

Important Announcements Aquinas Academy will be closed Monday, October 8th for Columbus Day and Friday, October 19th for an Archdiocesan workshop. Our Halloween party will be Wednesday, October 31st. Your child should come in costume. The whole class is invited that day. We will have a preschool Halloween parade at 9:00am on the small blacktop by the white picket fence. Pictures are encouraged!
Your Help is Needed
The class moms Mrs. Zohre Bingol (Joshua Rutledge’s mom) and Mrs. Debra Casiero (Giovanna Cozzolino’s grandma) will be e-mailing you a sign-up sheet for the Halloween party. Thank you in advance for your generosity. A sincere thank you to both mom and grandma for taking on the job of being class moms!
