There is no better way to enjoy the fall breeze than with kayaking across a beautiful lake. Just imagine the wind blowing through your hair while the soft sunrays graze your skin as your kayak glides through the water. Lucky for you, this can be your reality for FREE, and it’s right in your neighborhood. So don’t even dare miss this opportunity. Gather up the family gang, pack a lunch and head down to the Lago Siena for some family filled fun kayaking on the lakes. See you there!

Meet Greg Mazzantini, a Tuscan Lakes resident since 2011 and a huge contributor to the community. Though he’s been retired for just three years, he’s never stopped working. He is the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Galveston County Municipal Utility District no. 43 and is a part of the Tuscan Lakes Community Association Advisory Committee. Mazzantini says he’s proud of the Tuscan Lakes community and how beautifully it’s maintained. All he wants for the future of Tuscan Lakes is “more growth and more participation in the community.” Which is sure to happen! Mazzantini has been married for 44 years to his high school sweetheart (they went to La Marque High School!!!) and is the father to a son and daughter. When asked what his greatest accomplishment was, he simply said, “being a helping hand and a friendly voice.” Something, all of us should strive to be.

TUSCAN LAKES TOUCH-A-TRUCK Thank you to all who came out to the Touch-A-Truck event last month. We had a blast! Several vehicles, including

a police SUV, fire truck, dump truck, an ambulance and an off road construction dump truck were there for the kids

to touch, climb and explore. And every kid got to go home with their very own frisbee! A big thank you to all our

community heroes who took their time to interact and teach the Tuscan Lakes kiddos about their important jobs and

vehicles. I see a lot of police and firefighters in the future. Look for the next Tuscan Lakes event coming soon near you!
