Baskets for Charity

The credit union staff is

donating baskets once again to raise money for

our local charities. Last year we were able to

donate over $4,000 to

seven local charities!

There will be 10 themed baskets. Members can purchase tickets at any of our

branches for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Winners will be drawn randomly from the

entries on December 6th.

your family members qualify for membership. Family members include:

spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren,

They need only to maintain a $5.00 balance in their share (savings) account for

Discontinuation of Loan Protection Insurance

Due to a significant decline in demand from credit

unions and their members, CMFG Life Insurance Company has made the decision to exit the Loan

Protection Insurance product line. This insurance has been provided at no additional cost to you for eligible

member signature loans. All coverage will be cancelled

on December 31, 2013. Please destroy any CUNA Mutual Loan Protection Certificate of Insurance you may

have in your possession at that time.

As an alternative, we offer quality insurance coverage for loans with Member’s Choice Credit Life Insurance,

underwritten by CMFG Life Insurance Company.

Credit Life Insurance provides coverage on your loan(s)

up to $40,000.00 in case of the member’s death. To

make the transition to Credit Life Insurance as easy and

simple as possible, we have arranged with CMFG Life

Insurance Company a 30-day open enrollment period to

apply for this new insurance. Prior to February 1, 2014,

you may complete a Credit Insurance Application for

existing loans without providing proof of insurability,

provided all eligibility requirements are still met. If you

have any questions or would like an application, please

contact CMFG Life Insurance Company at

Eynon Open on Saturdays

Don’t forget that our

new Eynon Branch has Saturday hours from

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.! The office is also

equipped with a drive-

through teller window, ATM, and night deposit.

Community Involvement

P&G Credit Union employees pride themselves in the

work they do in and around the community. At the end

of July, St. Joseph’s Center holds its annual Festival.

Credit Union employees volunteered their time to help

serve food at the event. Co-Op Has a New Look

Financial Pirate Camp

Student Branch Manager, Holli Russell, facilitated an

interactive financial literacy camp that taught campers

important concepts like saving money, being a smart

spender, the truth about millionaires, and much more.

All these great financial tools were cleverly disguised in

a pirate’s journey following a treasure map with eight

financial skills stops along the way. The campers

enjoyed games like swab the deck and walk the plank.

At the end of camp the pirates enjoyed swashbuckling

snacks like shark bait and octopus blood. Tunkhannock

Public Library hosted the event and a great time was

had by all. A second financial literacy camp will be held

next summer with a new theme.

We are in the process of updating photo

IDs in our system. When you come into a branch to make a transaction you may

be asked for a current photo ID. This will also help us fight identity theft and remain in

compliance with the US PATRIOT Act. Thank you in

Eynon Branch Grand Opening

On July 27th, we celebrated the Grand Opening of our newly relocated Eynon Branch. The new office is in the Eynon

Plaza on Rt. 6/Scranton-Carbondale Hwy. 97 BHT entertained with music and prizes and JoJo the clown joined in the fun with face painting and balloon animals. Members brought in their flyers to be scanned for a chance to win a brand new
