Once again we had our October meeting and there were a great number of issues because we did not meet in September. I think the big thing is we now have a new Webmaster. Let's all welcome Michael King who has volun- teered to do the job. Let's also give Anita a big thanks for keeping our pages up for such a long time. The other big thing that came up is we are now going to require EVERYONE to attend one membership orientation. That means old members as well as new members to the club. These will be somehow tied into the renewal process as well as for those joining the club for the first time. We still have to work thru the details on this but I can assure you that we will try to make this as painless as possible for all involved. It is our hope that this may be a solution to some of the problems we have been having at the range these past few months. I would also like to ask that when you take that hunting trip that you take your camera. We need up to date pictures out in the range. c. Mandatory Orientation- Neal Perkins said

he liked the mandatory orientation; and

John Wilson said that before Joad starts up

there is an orientation. Al Tharp made a

motion that all new and renewing members

have to go through mandatory orientation to

receive their key card. The 1st orientation

would be at the annual meeting. Bob Gra-

ham seconded it. The motion passed.

d. Club Website(Webmaster Appointment

and upgrades). Since our webmaster,

Anita Huber moved and is no longer a mem-

ber of the club, the word went out that we

needed a new webmaster. Gary Cox indi-

cated mild interest. Renee Krawiec said she

would do it, if we can’t find anyone else.

And then Michael King said he would do it.

So thank you, Michael for stepping up and

for those who offered.

e. Congratulations to Eric Gerhart! He

received his Eagle Award for the Kiosk at

Curt Gowdy.

f. Outdoor Range. Al Tharp and Bob Gra-

ham finished the outdoor range with the

help loading the ArroLast Butts onto the

shelf by Ron LaBeaumont, M.D.. Mike

Hoover also assisted in off loading the de-

livery truck onto Al’s trucks.

g. Senior Olympics Report. The event ran

great. City of Cheyenne will be running it

again next year. Next year is qualifying

year for National Senior Olympics. Bill

Stone is no longer president of Wyoming

Senior Olympics.

a. Meeting with State of Wyoming-John

Wilson, Bob Graham and Mike Hoover

will meet on October 5th at 3:30 pm with

Paul Gritton to discuss the Range at Curt

Gowdy and Bow Hunters Weekend, they

weren’t all that welcoming with us this

year. They allowed the bike riders to ride

right through BHW shoot and we couldn’t

warm up prior to BHW with the targets set

out.

b. There will be a sign up sheet for new

board members and officers for next year.

h. CFA scheduled events

i. 1. I Shoot for the Girls-There is a

Boy Scout Troop who wants to help

with this shoot.

b. Broadhead Report

1. Gary Krause’s letter was read.

2. Al Tharp reported that he had to clean

up the range again on Wednesday

where broadheads were shot-the cen

ter of one bail was shot out-they shot

clear through it.

3. Mike Hoover-said we aren’t going to

stop it, you have to catch who is doing

it.

4. Neal Perkins-said the board has to do

something when they do catch who

ever is doing it.

5. Bob Day said there are steps when

someone catches a member vandaliz-

ing the club property. Someone needs

to personally see them do it, then that

person has to go to court to testify that

they saw them vandalizing the club’s

property. He said that they are look

ing at different locking systems in-

cluding cameras. It will report who

was in the building and when. Then it

will be up to the members to report

vandalism, the board can then see who

was in the building at the time and can

use the information to prosecute.

6. Other Suggestions: a) mandatory

orientation for new members

b) print a banner with the club rules;

and c) do a survey of the club mem-

bers and have them vote on the issue.
