Entrance Hymn Come let us bow down to Christ, As we worship Him, The Son of God. Save us, O Son of God, Who did rise from the dead, We sing to You: Alleluia

Resurrectional Apolytikion (Plagal Two)

The angelic powers appeared at Your tomb, The soldiers guarding it became as dead men. And Mary stood at Your grave seeking, Seeking Your most pure Body. But You made hell a captive; You were untouched by its might. You came to the Virgin and granted life. O Lord, Who arose from the dead, Glory to You.

Apolytikion for the Hieromartyr Becoming a partner with the Apostles in way of life And successor to their thrones, O God-inspired Saint, In the active life you found an entrance to contemplation. Hence you rightly expounded the word of truth, And you shed your blood in struggling for the faith, O Hieromartyr Cyprian. Intercede with Christ our God, Beseeching that our souls be saved.

Church Hymn (Troparion of Pentecost) Blessed are You O Christ our God Who has shown the fishermen as wise men By sending down Your Holy Spirit upon them And through them, the whole world You drew into Your net O Lover of mankind, glory to You. Evlogitos i Hriste O Theos imon, O Pansofous tous aliis anadixas, Katapempsas aftis to Pnevma to agion, Ke thi afton tin ikoumenin saginefsas, Filanthrope doxa Si.

Kontakion (Prostasia)

A protection of Christians unshamable, Intercessor to our Holy Maker unwavering. Reject not the prayerful cries of those who are in sin. Instead come to us for you are good; Your loving help bring unto us, Who are crying in faith to you; Hasten now to intercede and speed now to supplicate As a protection for all time, Theotokos, for those who honor you.

Prokeimenon of Pentecost Who is so great a God as our God? You alone are the God that does wonders.

After the Prayer of the Proskomidi I love you, O Lord my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my Savior.

THE CREED OF FAITH (Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed) I believe in one God, Father Almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages;

Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not created, of one essence with the Father through

Whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven

and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became man.

He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried; And He rose on the third day, according to the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father; And He will come again with glory to judge the living and dead.

His kingdom shall have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Creator of life,

Who proceeds from the Father, Who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified,

Who spoke through the prophets. In one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come. Amen.

EPISTLE READING: St. Paul's Second Letter to the Corinthians 4:6-15 Brethren, it is the God who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the transcendent power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For while we live we are always being given up to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death is at work in us, but life in you. Since we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, "I believed, and so I spoke," we too believed, and so we speak, knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into His presence. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.

GOSPEL READING: The Gospel according to St. Luke 6:31-36

The Lord said, "And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful."
