"Genesis to Jesus" is the DVD series that was offered weekly when the coronavirus shut down church functions in the spring. We will take up where we left off, episodes 6-12,
began again on Wednesday, October 14. We will meet at the Parish Center 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday. We will
honor social distancing, wearing masks, and sanitizing our space after each session. In episode 6 we encounter God in the covenant with Abraham, the Father of our Faith. In this
episode, God promises Abraham nationhood, a great name, and worldwide blessing. We see how the story of the sacrifice of
Isaac foreshadows the sacrifice of Jesus, bring us salvation. No need to have taken part in the previous episodes to take up the
story here. Come join us for all remaining episodes or just some; whatever suits your schedule.

Worship Aid for The Twenty-Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time, October 18, 2020
Opening Hymn: All the ends of the earth
(Refrain) All the ends of the earth, all you creatures of the sea, lift up your eyes to the wonders of the Lord. For the Lord of the earth, the master of the sea, has come with justice for the world. Break into song at the deeds of the Lord, the wonders God has done in every age. (Refrain)
Gloria
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the
world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most
High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Responsorial Hymn Response (Spoken): Give the Lord Glory and Honor.
Gospel Acclamation (Sung): “Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia”
Homily
Creed (spoken)
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made consubstantial with the Father; through him all things
were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will
have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the
resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Prayers of the Faithful Response (Spoken): Lord, Hear our prayer
Offertory (Silent Prayer)/Mass Parts (Spoken)
Communion Hymn: Hold onto love
There is a place for the sadness, Hold on to Love. There is a season of gladness. Hold on to Love. (Refrain) Hold on to Love, where hope is found. Hold on to Love, where joy abounds. Hold on to Love, where grace and mercy’s overflowing. Hold on to Love. When pain and confusion seem endless, hold on to Love. We cultivate healing through kindness. Hold on to Love. (Refrain)
Closing Prayer
CLOSING SONG: Glory and Praise to our God
(Refrain) Glory and praise to our God, who alone gives light to our days. Many are the blessings he bears to those who trust in his ways. We, the daughters and sons of him who build the valleys and plains, praise the wonders our God has done in ev’ry heart that sings. (Refrain)

Sunday, November 15 through Wednesday, November 18, at 6:30 p.m. (Confessions and Rosary begin at 6 p.m.) Saint Bruno’s will host The Triumph: A Parish Mission presented by Father David Gunter, MIC of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception from Stockbridge, MA. More
than ever in the history of the world, we are in need of our Heavenly Mother. Many popes have consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and now is the time for us to consecrate ourselves to her Immaculate Heart. Come hear Father David Gunter, MIC, give his
testimony of his experience of the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Learn why the Church vener-ates her, and understand the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. Father David will give you hope and reasons for
joy, based upon his own miraculous experiences and many more throughout history. You can attend any or all evenings. There is no charge, but capacity is limited
due to Covid restrictions, so please pre-register, or call with any questions: Rosalind Stack (724-925-1697) or
