WELCOME!

We extend a warm welcome to all who have come to

worship and fellowship with us this morning. If you are

a first time visitor with us, please take time to fill out a

“Welcome Card” located in the pew rack and place it in

the offering plate.  Parents of small children (under age 3) may take them

to our Nursery, where a caring staff will supervise them.

We also have a Pre-School Program (ages 3-5) that runs

during our Worship Service in the Church Time Pre-

School Room. One of our ushers would be happy to

help you locate either one of these facilities.

Elementary School children are invited to take part in

our KidZone program which starts after the first part of

our Worship Service downstairs in the Vestry.

About Us

Bedford Baptist Church has been a part of this community

for 112 years. We seek to be a fellowship of believers

building on the principles of love, grace, and compassion as

first modeled by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. To

that end, we offer a wide variety of programs and services

for every age group. On a larger scale, we are affiliated

with the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches &

News & Events (Cont’d.)

What Are Your Gifts?

God has given each one of us gifts and he wants us to use

them to serve Him. The Nominating Committee would

like to know what your gifts are and where you would be

most comfortable serving the Lord. The possibilities aremany and so are the gifts that you as a congregation have.

Please be in prayer for God's leading as we will be calling

you within the next few weeks to see where you would like

to serve. "In his Grace, God has given us different gifts for

doing certain things well." (Romans 12:6)

Tea & Sale

The Missions Committee is hosting a Tea and Sale

fundraiser on Saturday, October 22nd from 2:00  – 4:00

pm. Come to the vestry downstairs and sample some

delicious desserts, tea and coffee. The Tea will be a free will

offering in support of our international missions. The

committee would also like to thank the Friendship Circle for

providing the items for the sale table. Please plan to come

and enjoy a time with good company, good food and buy a

thing or two. See you there.

Help With Intergenerational

There is a need for some help sewing crafts (cotton

bags/cotton hankie angels) for our upcoming

Intergenerational Event. Please contact Beryl MacKinnon

(865-5647) or Rev. Ida (835-5966) if you are able to help.

Fall Association

The Fall Meeting of our Halifax Baptist Association will

take place on Saturday, October 29th at Bayside Camp

starting at 9:00 am. The meeting will include a final

discussion and formal vote on Association Incorporation.

We can send 7 delegates from our church to this

meeting. If you are willing to be one of those delegates,

please contact the Church Office.
