The rich young man is a timeless symbol. Even 2000 years later it is played out over and over. The young man cannot imagine leaving his riches and following Jesus. Wealth is not his problem, his attachment to wealth is the problem. Living in this world but not of this
world is difficult. Stop and ask the Lord what comes between you and eternal life. The possibilities are endless. Each of us holds on to things that look like they are the most important, that seem even more important than being in relationship with God. Sin is
described as being in wrong relationship. The right relationship is the one that is oriented toward God. Seek
right relationships with all things. As we find the right balance, the right order our other relationships will flourish.

St. Mary's offers a Mass for Children at 930 am on the 4th Sunday of the month. We hope children will assist at this Mass by: Greeting: standing at the door and saying welcome to our families as they arrive Ushering: taking up the collection and handing out bulletins at the end of Mass Lectoring: proclaiming the Word of the Lord Taking up the gifts to the Priest Altar Servers: assisting the Priest on the Altar It's important for children to fully participate in Mass and our 'Mass for Children' gives them an opportunity take an active role. We will offer training and a guiding hand for all who are willing to help. St. Juan Diego offers a Mass for Children at 945 am on the 4th Sunday of the month. We have several roles for children. A Children's choir will be formed to share their singing talent at this Mass. Other opportunities include: welcoming people as they arrive, assisting our ushers in taking up the collection and handing out bulletins at the end of Mass; proclaiming the Word of the Lord; taking up the gifts to the Priest, and Altar Servers. El joven rico es un símbolo atemporal. Incluso 2000 años después, se repite una y otra vez. El
joven no puede imaginarse dejando sus riquezas y siguiendo a Jesús. La riqueza no es su problema, su apego a la riqueza es el problema. Vivir en este mundo pero no de este mundo es difícil. Deténgase y pregúntele al Señor qué se interpone entre usted y la vida eterna. Las posibilidades son infinitas. Cada uno de nosotros se aferra a cosas que parecen ser las más
importantes, que parecen incluso más importantes que tener una relación con Dios. El pecado se describe como una relación incorrecta. La relación correcta es la que está orientada hacia Dios. Busque relaciones correctas con todas las cosas. A medida que encontremos el equilibrio correcto, el orden correcto hará florecer a nuestras otras relaciones.
