Solving Radical Equations
A radical equation is an equation that contains radicals or rational exponents
Solve by:
1. Eliminate the radicals and obtain a linear or quadratic equation
2. Solve the linear or quadratic using your skills and strategies
An important property to use when eliminating radicals is:
If a = b then an = bn
If you raise one side of an equation to a power then you must keep it equal by raising the other side to the same power.
