You may be interested to know that padel (or padel
tennis) is the fastest growing sport in the world and the second most played sport in Spain. It is typically played in doubles on an enclosed court about half the size of a tennis court. The court is surrounded by walls which the ball can be played off and so the best way to describe the game is a cross between tennis and squash. The game is hugely enjoyable and very addictive and anyone who takes part will be sure to want to play again.Padel is great for players of all ages and skills. It is quick and easy to pick up as it is less physically demanding than tennis and squash. Most players get the grasp of it within the first 20 minutes of playing and find it easy to achieve a level of proficiency to enable them to enjoy it because, the game is not necessarily dominated by strength or technique. The serve in padel is under-arm and the balls and the scoring system is the same as tennis which makes the game less complicated.It is also a very social sport with opportunities to mix with friendly people and brush up on your Spanish language skills. Afterwards, of course, it is very common practice to relax over a couple ‘cervezas’ as you unwind and reflect on your padel experience. Go ahead and try, learn and enjoy!

Málaga is the most comprehensive collection of 19th-century Andalusian paintings in Spain. It is located in the Palacio de Villalón, a 16th-century palatial building located in the heart of Málaga, just off the Plaza Constitution. The permanent collection consists of 230 works that brilliantly summarise 19th-century Spanish art. The stately 16th-century building, the Palacio de Villalón is the heart of the museum to which have been added new buildings making a fabulous ensemble for the gallery.As in other old buildings of Málaga, Roman remains were found in the subsoil during the refurbishment. In this building the pools for making Garum were discovered. Garum was a product that Málaga exported to much of the Roman Empire. You will also see some Roman household rooms with figurative decorations.A visit here is a must for lovers of art, history and architecture.Calle Larios: Perhaps the most well known n

Calle Larios is named after Manuel Domingo Larios Larios, the 2nd Marquis of Larios, the promoter of the textile industry development in the city during the XIX century. Of course much has happened since then including a civil war, a change of name, the removal of the original statue of Manuel Domingo Larios Larios, the replacement of the statue many years later and the reinstatement of the Larios name. These days the street is pedestrianised and is a delight to walk along as you contemplate the many shop windows and cafes, sculptures by renowned artists and various street entertainers. In summertime the whole street is protected from the sun by awnings, allowing you to enjoy this
fabulous location.Arab Baths: Located in the city’s historic centre (just off the Plaza Constitution), the Hammam Al Ándalus is a renovated monumental space that captures the essence of the old Arab baths of Al Ándalus. Its cold, warm and hot water thermal baths form part of the ritual of purification and together with steam, rest and massage rooms, make up an architectural ensemble characterised by beautiful Moorish decoration which induces relaxation of the mind and body. Unlike many Arabic baths, Hammam Al Ándalus is mixed and welcomes both men and women as well as children older than five years of age. A visit here is a perfect way to unwind and keep your mind and body in perfect balance.

La visita a este museo es obligatorio para amantes del arte, de la historia y de la arquitectura.Calle Larios: Quizás la calle más conocida y la más céntrica de Málaga es Marqués de Larios o la Calle Larios, como prefieren llamarla los malagueños. lleva el nombre de Manuel Domingo Larios Larios, el 2º Marqués de Larios, el promotor del desarrollo de la industria textil en la ciudad durante el siglo XIX. Claro está que mucho ha pasado desde entonces, incluyendo una guerra civil, la eliminación de la estatua originaria de Manuel Domingo Larios Larios, la sustitución de la estatua, muchos años más tarde, y la reinstauración del nombre de Larios. Hoy día, es una calle peatonal y es un placer pasear por ella al contemplar los muchos escaparates de comercios y cafeterías, las esculturas de artistas de renombre y varios animadores callejeros. En verano, toda la calle está protegida del sol con toldos, que permiten disfrutar de esta encantadora vía.Los baños árabes: Ubicados en el centro histórico de la ciudad (junto a la Plaza de la Constitución), el Hammam Al Ándalus es un espacio monumental recién reformado que captura la esencia de los antiguos baños árabes de Al Ándalus. Sus baños termales fríos, templados y cálidos forman parte del ritual purificador y, junto con las salas de vapor, de descanso y de masajes, constituyen un conjunto arquitectónico caracterizado por el hermoso decorado morisco que induce al relax de la mente y del cuerpo. A diferencia de muchos baños árabes, el Hammam Al Ándalus es mixto y acoge tanto a hombres como a mujeres además de niños con más de cinco años de edad. Una visita aquí es la manera perfecta para relajarse y mantener cuerpo y mente en perfecto equilibrio.

Ahora es época de fresas y lo que de antaño era una cosecha breve pero intensa que raras veces duraba más allá del mes de julio, ahora es una cosecha que dura todo el verano ya que los cultivadores de fresas por todo el mundo cultivan nuevas varietales para cosechar hasta el mes de octubre.Desde luego, la mejor manera de disfrutar de la fresa es comerla en el campo de fresas … y se puede disfrutar de la tarta más tarde.Pero existen otras maneras deliciosas e inesperadas para disfrutar al máximo de esta jugosa fruta, algunas que incluyen otros elementos que no sean tarta. Esta es una de mis favoritas. Es sencilla y sabrosa, entonces ¿por qué no la prueba?Ingredientes:2 tazas de fresa fresca3 1/8 tazas de harina para todos los usos2 tazas de azúcar blanco

2 cups fresh strawberries 3 1/8 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups white sugar 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/4 cups vegetable oil 4 eggs, beaten 1 1/4 cups chopped pecans Cooking time:Preparation time needed is 30 minsCooking time needed is 45 minsReady to eat in 1 hour and 25 minutesDirections:Preheat oven to 175 degrees CButter and flour two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans.
Slice strawberries and place in medium-sized bowl. Sprinkle lightly with sugar, and set aside while preparing batter.Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt and baking soda in large bowl; mix well. Blend oil and eggs into strawberries. Add strawberry mixture to flour mixture, blending until dry ingredients are just moistened. Stir in pecans. Divide batter into pans.Bake in preheated oven until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean, 45 to 50 minutes (test each loaf separately). Let cool in pans on wire rack for 10 minutes. Turn loaves out of pans, and allow to cool before slicing.Add white sugar to taste. n
