August 12, 2016 (Friday) New Orleans School of CookingPlease join us for an outing to the New Orleans School of Cooking. “Louisiana Cooking in a way you’ll never forget.”This outing will include OMC Jefferson Hwy., River Parish and OMC Kenner members. We will have two Ochsner Buses for this event. Upcoming EventsSeptember 23, 2016 Friday Martin’s Accordian Workshop/Prejean’s RestaurantThis outing will include the OMC Jefferson Highway, OMC Kenner and the River Parish Golden Opportunity members. We will begin our trip with the pick-up of OMC Jeff at 7:30 a.m., then OMC Kenner at 8:00 a.m. and then River Parish at 8:30 a.m. We will travel by Hotard motor coach. October 21, 2016 (Friday) Harrah’s CasinoHarrah’s Casino/New Orleans has graciously extended an invitation to the members of Golden Opportunity to come have lunch on them and they will also provide an instructor to teach us how to play the board games, poker, craps, etc.

Mitchell Farms, Collins, MS: The weather will be much cooler and the pumpkins will be ready to pick. This is a working farm; we will have a guided tour and lunch, and enjoy the Fall weather. Cost and date to be announced.

November 9, 2016 (Wednesday) World War II MuseumWe will go to the WWII Museum and you will be on your own to view the exhibits at your own pace. We will arrive at the Museum at 10:30 a.m. and we will depart the Museum at 2:30 a.m. Transportation by Ochsner Bus and entry fee to be confirmed.

December 2, 3 & 4, 2016 Natchitoches Festival of LightsWe will travel via Hotard motor coach to the beautiful town of Natchitoches, LA, which fronts on the Cane River. We will attend the annual Festival of Lights. We have a total of 18 double-occupancy rooms available. More information to follow.

Where trips are concerned we decided to combine our outings with the OMC Main Campus, Jefferson Hwy. The reason for this is so that we may fill the buses to capacity for all scheduled outings.
