BEST BLOODY MARY CONTESTThe seventh annual “Best Bloody Mary Contest,”

sponsored by Ocean 98 WOCM Irie Radio, was heldApril 21, at the West Ocean City Greene Turtle, onRoute 611. Guests paid $10 to sample and judgeconcoctions from 16 local bars and restaurants.

Fish Tales won “Best Overall Bloody Mary” for thefourth consecutive year. WOC Staton 7’s drink wasawarded the “Spiciest” title and the “Best Presenta-tion” award went to Smitty McGee’s.

Approximately 400 people attended the event,which was a fundraiser to benefit the Ocean 98 schol-arship fund. More than $3,300 was raised. The planis for the 49th Street radio station to award a schol-arship to a local high school student or students an-nually.
