About OSHA
• Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 lead congress to create OSHA on April 28, 1971
• It is an agency of the U.S. Department of Labor• Mission: to assure safe and healthy working
conditions for working men and women• Set and enforce standards and by providing
training, outreach, education and assistance.
