How to Play the OcarinaBlowing Technique
Articulate each note by saying tu or du at the start of the note
Make your mouth opening very small so that your airflow can be focused and strong.
Otherwise you will have poor airy tone.
Breath pressure
Some ocarinas require an even amount of air from the lower notes to the highest
notes.
Some ocarinas require a lot more air as you play higher. You can experiment with
Both ways of playing to see which works best on your ocarina.
Playing the bottom notes
When playing the bottom two notes, blow lighter. The low notes require less air.
Be sure to fully cover the holes. When using subholes, it is easy to let some air
escape.
Playing the top three notes
Most of our ocarinas require that you blow harder on the top notes.
You should bend your head (see pictures below) to get a better sound.
