Nominations Close – Wednesday 8 November 2017
November 2017 Dear Paddlers & Supporters,
We are excited to invite you to our two day SQ Zone Regatta weekend for the OC1 /2 series.
The Gold Coast Outrigger Canoe Club have an alliance with the Broadwater Parklands and the
Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, and as such, our home base is located on the Broadwater in front of
these world class facilities, which are host to the swimming and cultural events for the 2018
Commonwealth Games.
We will run a range of short courses on the Broadwater and the long course will run from
Tallebudgera Creek through the Spit Seaway and finishing on the Northern Peninsula shore front
at Broadwater Parklands. We encourage everyone to enter early which allows us to secure
appropriate support resources for a safe and enjoyable event.
We promise the paddling community plenty of variety in the Broadwater with separate V1 races
and Team Relay races held on Sunday.
A big shout out to our club sponsor; Be Local Today, who take care of all our printing, digital
marketing, web presence and promotional materials. Thanks for your invaluable support.
Happy Paddling and see you this regatta!
