In Loving Memory… Ashley Freeman March 13, 2014 – June 30, 2083 On Wednesday June 30, Ashley Freeman died of worse case of heart ache ever seen. Ashley had been married to her husband, Tyler Freeman, for 60 years until his death on September 4, 2081. Ever since her husband’s passing she had been unable to eat, sleep, or take care of herself. Her children placed her in a nursing home where she did not get any better in the past two years. Before her husband passed away, Ashley enjoyed traveling throughout the world, spending time with her grandchildren and friends, and still working as a gymnastics instructor. After her husband passed away and her children placed her in the nursing home, her personality completely changed. She never spoke to anyone in the nursing home nor would she ever eat the food they prepared for her. After months of not eating or speaking, the doctor diagnosed her with the most severe case of heart ache. On Wednesday June 30 before Ashley’s passing she spoke her first word to the nurses, and said she was going home. Ashley grew up in the small town of Ronceverte, WV and graduated from Marshall University in 2017 with a degree in Athletic Training. She married her high school sweetheart, Tyler Freeman in 2021 at the age of 26 where they resided in Ronceverte, WV. Ashley and Tyler were both cheerleaders at Marshall University and continued teaching gymnastics classes until Tyler’s death. Still living are Ashley’s children, William Freeman Jr and Elaine Freeman, and her five grandchildren, Eleanor Freeman, Edwina Freeman, Michael Freeman, Erica Freeman, and Kevin Freeman. The funeral service will be held in Ronceverte Presbyterian Church on July 2, 2083 at 5:00 pm.
