Interview with Crystal Yap
Where did you go to start your search for a book?A: I went to UWG’s data base, www.westga.edu/library/What did you do find your book?A: I typed the title of the book I was looking for in the search bar. I looked for a matching title and author to the book I was looking for. It was the first entry to pop up. I clicked on it to find out more information to confirm that this was what I was looking for.How do you find a book from the info listed?A: The holdings section on the link told me the call number and what floor/shelve the book was shelved onHow did you know what to do?A: I learned how to search my books through the library catalogue from my history teacher sophomore year. What is your best tip when it comes to finding a book in the catalogue? A: My best tip is making sure that the title and the author matches the entry that comes up so I’m not looking for the same titled book but written by a different author. It has different material and it could end up giving me the information I’m not looking for.
