    STOLEN GOODS

As you observe the lesson, note down several things that you would like to 'steal' fromthis teacher and the lesson in order to make them part of your own teaching. This mainclude personal qualities, teaching ski lls and techniques, activit ies, c lassroo

atmosphere, etc. Include notes to help you remember any important details. You maalso want to recordwhy you felt good about the stolen goods. Finally, choose somethingyou feel you would like to give this teacher in return for your many thefts.

Aims of the lesson:Recognition of the use of Present Perfect for experiences

    Stolen item 1:Eliciting techniques

Description of the item:The teacher elicited examples and meaning of Presentperfect. The students had been introduced to the topic the previous class andthey had had the assignment of finding instances of Present perfect in songslyrics.

I stole this because:You make use of excellent involving techniques to make thestudents participate in class. You go on asking them to make them participates otheir own learning. Making them find their own examples turns the homework in ameaningful activity.

Stolen item 2:Class managem ent, pairs work

Description of the item:The teacher told them to work in pairs to look forexamples and to pay attention to the meaning of the sentences. Then, shemonitored the pairs.

I stole this because:You have good control over the class so as to get them towork in their interpersonal skills. Considering it was a Saturday morning, theywere willing to move seats to interact with others and you encouraged them to doso.

Stolen item 3:Dealing with the unexpected technique

Description of the item:The teacher had planned a l istening comprehension
