Meanwhile, Syarikat Perumahan Negara berhad (2009), defines it as home priced at RM100,000- RM300,000. Affordable home to be supplied by PR1MA is in range of RM100,000-RM400,000. It only open for an applicants who have household income between RM2,500 to RM7,500 per month. Middle Income: Middle-income earners according to the Eleventh Malaysia Plan are group of people which their household income earning between RM2,500 to RM7,000. To evaluate the affordability of middle income groups in order to own affordable housing in Shah Alam, Selangor. To conduct theoretical studies on aspect that related to the middle income groups to own affordability housing which include on reviewing the policies of state and federal governments in their efforts to provide an opportunity for the middle income groups to own affordable houses. To identify the characteristic, employment, preferences and affordability of residents in Shah Alam including the current prices offered for medium-cost housing. To determine the rate of affordability for middle income group by analysing the current rate of housing prices with background and characteristics of low-income groups including lending rates by the financiers on owning a home. To establish strategies and general recommendations to resolve issues and concerns regarding the level of ability of middle income population to have affordable housing.

Affordable Housing:National Housing Department (2009), defines

affordable housing as houses priced below RM300,000.

Meanwhile, Syarikat Perumahan Negara berhad (2009),

defines it as home priced at RM100,000- RM300,000.

Affordable home to be supplied by PR1MA is in range

of RM100,000-RM400,000. It only open for an

applicants who have household income between

RM2,500 to RM7,500 per month.

Middle Income:Middle-income earners according to the Eleventh

Malaysia Plan are group of people which their

household income earning between RM2,500 toRM7,000.

To evaluate the affordability of middle income

groups in order to own affordable housing in Shah

Alam, Selangor.

To conduct theoretical studies on aspect that related to the middle income groups to own affordability housing which include on reviewing the policies of state and federal governments in their efforts to provide an opportunity for the middle income groups to own affordable houses.
