Types of narrative

1. First person narrative – ‘I’m having a great day today. The sun is shining and I’m teaching my favourite subject – English Language and Literature’

2. Third person narrative – ‘Natalie’s having a great day. The sun is shining and she’s teaching her favourite ever subject – English Language and literature’

Omniscient narratorThe Lovely Bones is narrated from the point of view of an omniscient narrator. An omniscient narrator is someone who knows absolutely everything – including what other characters are thinking and feeling. FACT: Omniscient actually means ‘all knowing’.
