When you ask a question, you invert (reverse) the order of the subject and verb. You always use a helping verb and a main verb in a question, but you separate the helping verb from the main verb with the noun.

When did he jump up there?

Would you have taken Willie down from there?

Could he have gotten down by himself?

When the information question uses two helping verbs, put the subject after the first helping verb.
