The specific objecves are: 1. to pilot the transferability of innovave strategies, conducive towards improved market-relevant skills and sustainable employment for disadvantaged and vulnerable youth, parcularly young women; 2. to contribute to an enabling environment for disadvantaged and vulnerable youth, parcularly young women, towards improved employability and inclusive access to the labour market. GRANT TARGET GROUPS • 400 disadvantaged and vulnerable youth, parcularly young women (aged 15-24) • 800 parents/guardians • 80 members of Youth Forums • 20 master craſtspersons • 10 Vocaonal Educaon and Training Authority outreach instructors • 4 Community Resource Persons • 20 private sector partners • 20 caregivers • 80 district and community leaders

ACTIVITIES

• Market-driven & skills-based VET curriculum• Awareness raising campaigns on equal opportunities for all and gender• Child care support• Youth-led Village Savings and Loan Associations with the support of Community Resource Persons• Access to digital tools and literacy training• Enable linkage to financial institutions and to employers

• Support registration of new businesses, identify market opportunities, develop business cases• Offer career guidance and post-training mentoring • Introduce apprenticeship programs and enhance peer education• Identify and disseminate good practices and draw on lessons learnt

EXPECTED RESULTS

Targeting disadvantaged and vulnerable youth, particularly young women…

… of which 400 access and complete VET through an innovative, inclusive and market-drivenoutreach program.…of which 300 transition successfully from VET to sustainable and inclusive formal and informal labour market opportunities and receive access to financial services.…of which 300 benefit from sustained and continuous learning support.…of which 300 are empowered to represent their interests vis-à-vis the private sector and through public decision-making processes, while transferable innovative good practices are identified and disseminated.
