Go over the verbal explanation of the concept such as the following:
Integers are the class of numbers that are like Natural numbers, but Integers include the set of negative numbers and zero.
Rational numbers are numbers that are written in the form of a/b
All Integers can be written as Rational numbers, but not all Rational numbers are Integers.

Go over visual examples of the concept such as below:
Bodily-Kinesthetic
Give students papers with numbers and math symbols on them and then have the students model equations like 3=3/1 or 2/3=4/6 using the signs in the front of the room.
Musical
Show a video to review the different sets of numbers and introduce the concept of rational numbers.

Have the students get into groups and work on a worksheet that reviews the concept and has the students go through problems.
