Muslim views on racial harmony…
What does Islam teach about racism and equality?...
‘People descended from Adam, and Adam was made out of dust. There is
no superiority for an Arab over an non-Arab, neither for a white man over a
black man...’
Muhammad said…
‘all people are as
equal as the teeth of
a comb.’'Allah does not look upon your
outward appearance,
he looks upon your hearts and deeds'.
What does this tell us about how Muslims should view racism?
Islam is opposed to racism. The Prophet Muhammad taught that everyone is equal
and the only thing that separates one person from another is their good/bad actions.
In Islam all races are EQUAL and loved by Allah.
One of the most important of all teachings in Islam is that EVERY Muslim is part of the UMMAH (the worldwide Muslim community).
Use the picture clues on the sheet to show how going on Hajj shows that Muslims are part of a larger community.http://www.bbc.co.uk/learningzone/clips/introduction-to

equality.He believed Hajj was the
greatest example of racial harmony.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbiRVoLwwWEMalcolm X, believed that
Islam was 'black religion' until he made the Hajj (Pilgrimage to Mecca) in 1964.
