DEFINITIONThe term ‘obesity’ refers to an abnormal accumulation of body fat, usually 20% or more over an individual’s ideal body weight. The term obesity and overweight are sometimes used interchangeably. However the too are not the same.

weight than is considered normal or healthy for one’s age or build

• B.M.I: Body Mass Index is a number that is calculated based on both the height and weight to determine if the weight is high or low compared with what you would expect for that height.
