TRANSFERS

(Applies to both Obedience and Rally). After a dog earns a title, it may be transferred to another class even though the closing date for the trial has passed. This transfer may be requested if, according to the owner’s records, the dog has completed the requirements for the title after the closing date of the trial in which the advanced entry is to be made. Transfers from an “A” to a “B” class at the same level are permitted. The request for a transfer must be in writing and presented to the trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. Transfers may be approved, provided the next level class and the judge is available and the class has not reached its limit. Please turn in transfer forms as soon after your class ends as possible.

RANDOM REWARD CLASSES

(Same Rules apply for each class - Novice, Open, Utility) The Random Reward Novice Class exercises will be performed as Novice class, except that verbal praise during the exercises is to be encouraged & not penalized. Handler may give additional commands & encouragement without being penalized. Handlers will not allowed to hold up a class with excessive encouragement & Judges will have the option to end any exercise. Each handler may choose to: Skip 1 exercise or Choose to do that exercise but the handler may now be allowed to leave position anywhere in that exercise, go toward the dog & reward with a toy. (Toys MAY NOT make noise or be an item that will roll into another ring). When checking in, the handler must inform the judge or steward which exercise will be selected to skip or selected to go & reward the dog. The exercises will be performed in the same order as the regular class. The Judge will call commands exactly as in the regular class.

RECALL

The Recall Class consists of five (5) recalls to promote speed, enthusiasm, and accuracy. The first recall will be at the center length of a utility-sized ring. The second will go from one corner of the ring to the opposite corner, a corner-to-corner diagonal. The third recall will be the other corner-to-corner diago-nal. The fourth will go from the center of the long side of the ring to the other side of the ring. The fifth and final recall will go from the position just completed to the center of the other side of the ring. There will be two (2) height classes. Dogs up to and including 15” will be in Division-A. Dogs over 15” will be in Division-B. Division-A dogs will compete with Division-A dogs. Division-B dogs will compete with Division-B dogs. Consequently, each division will have its own placements. Each recall station will be numbered as in Rally. The recalls will be without drops or finishes, as the recalls will be timed. Timing begins the instant the handler calls the dog and continues until the dog sits in front of the handler. Each recall is timed and the total time is recorded for each dog and handler team. The judge’s, “Exercise Finished!” will not be included in the timing while the judge determines the accuracy of the fronts. Dogs and handlers will not be judged between exercises, so formal heeling is not required. This can be a stress free and relaxing time for the dog and handler.

RALLY/OBEDIENCE JUMP HEIGHTS

Rally classes with jumps will be judged in Jump Height Order from High to Low on Saturday; from Low to High on Sunday. Obedience classes with jumps will be judged in Jump Height Order from Low to High on Saturday; from High to Low on Sunday.

PLEASE INCLUDE JUMP HEIGHTS ON YOUR ENTRY (See your AKC rule book for information on jump heights for Obedience and Rally)
