Some Common Misconceptions
TRUE OR FALSE?
Science
The water-carrying tubes are found only in the roots and stem of the plant.
The water-carrying tubes transport
water and minerals from the roots
to all parts of the plant.
TRUE OR FALSE?
Breathing is not the same as respiration.
Breathing is the taking in and giving
out of air.
Respiration is the reaction in the cells
where oxygen and nutrients are used
to produce carbon dioxide and energy.
TRUE OR FALSE?
When we are exercising or doing a vigorous activity, we breathe more deeply because we are tired.
We breathe more deeply because our body
needs more oxygen in order to release more
energy.
Our heart also needs to pump faster to send
more oxygen-rich blood from the lungs to the
muscles. This will result in the increase in our
heart rate.
TRUE OR FALSE?
Conceptual understanding requires students to organise
facts and ideas into a meaningful concept in science. Moving
beyond rote memorisation of facts, conceptual understanding
enables students to align intuitive ideas with scientific ones
making meaningful connections. Therefore, students can
apply their understanding of concepts to multiple contexts.

Rancangan radio ‘Kenali Dunia Remaja’ sememangnya rancangan yang amat popular. Baik
