Oakwood Community District #76 provides a comprehensive education to students from the communities of Oakwood, Fithian, Muncie, Newtown, Batestown, and Hillery. Oakwood is a predominantly rural district.

School DescriptionLocated on US Route 150 between Danville and Champaign, Oakwood High School was founded in 1916. It has an approximate enrollment of 370 and has a faculty and staff numbering 40.

Grading SystemOakwood High School uses a 4.0 grade scale. Grades A, B, C, and D are passing. The grade of F indicates a failure. The following grading scale is used: A 92-100 B 83-91 C 74-82 D 95-73 F 0-64

Oakwood athletics are IHSA affiliated and are registered as Fithian (Oakwood). OHS is a member of the Vermilion Valley Conference. Oakwood has a cooperative athletic agreement with Armstrong-Potomac in the sports of Football, Cross Country, Wrestling, and Track and Field. OHS offers the following athletics:
