CAMS Login

Login to your building database for collecting EDP report information.


CAMS Login

Select EDP Completion Reports from the blue links on the left-hand side.


EDP Completion Reports

Select EDP Completion Status by Student from the menu of reports available.


EDP Completion Status by Student

Select desired grade level.

You will need to repeat this step for every required grade level report.


EDP Grade Level Standards

Check the grade level standards; confirm necessary minimum standards are represented.


Exporting Student Data

Select Excel Spreadsheet and click the gray “Export” button.

Click “Open”


Formatting Student Data

The export will automatically open a new Excel workbook.


“Save As” - Type

Select Microsoft Excel as the “Save as type”.


“Save As” - Place

Select your preferred destination for saving the Excel file.


“Save As” – File Name

Type in the file name. If you are working with multiple data sources for your district I suggest you “Save As” District/ Building and then create multiple worksheets within the workbook.


Setup for Pivot Table (Step 1)

Create an additional column and title it “Count”. Type a number 1 in the open cell and click on the lower right-hand corner of the cell. Holding the mouse down, drag the box to the bottom of the numbered cells.


Setup (Step 2)

When you release the mouse the action will automatically generate a number 1 in each cell.


Pivot Table Creation (Step 1)

To create the Pivot Table, first click on the open cell between “1 and A”. This will select the entire set of data. Click on “Data” at the top and select “Pivot Table and Pivot Table Chart” from the drop-down menu.

Click on the “Next” button.



Click on the “Next” button.



Click on the “Layout” button.

To select data you will click and drag the items needed.

1. Click on “Count” and drag to the center “Data” section.2. Click on “Student Name” and drag to the “Row” section.3. Click on the “Ok” button.


Pivot Table Data (Step 3)

Click on the “Finish” button.


Student Data Duplication Sort

The Pivot Table creates the new worksheet in the existing workbook that you are working with. The student data is now numbered with a count of repetitions existing within the data.


Locate Duplicate Student Info

Locate the duplicated student information.


Clean Excel File Information

You will need to return to your original student data exported from Career Cruising and remove one of the student files. This does not remove it from the Career Cruising online database. Once the data is clean and complete with each grade level, “Save” the file. Attach the Excel file to an email and send the report to the designated contact at Oakland Schools.


Submitting EDP Excel Information

1. Attach the Excel file to an email.2. Provide the district name.3. Provide the name of the individual

responsible for the collection and reporting of EDP information.

Timeline / Suggestions When working with a group of students

capture the EDP evidence at the end of the update session. Students can change the information after you have seen them.

Mid-year data submission is the end of February.

April training for end-of-year data submission due the first week in June.
