o here's the music for the single episode broadcast on Christmas Day, 2010. Watching it a month later in horrible January, I'm suddenly, inexplicably, filled with the warm toasty glow of Christmas and a little tearing at the heart strings. The episode's so good, it left me almost nothing to say. Except to thank Steven Moffat for having given me the opportunity to write a song for one of the best singers around, Katherine Jenkins. I wrote it over a couple of nights in August and...well... I think it scrubbed up okay. Thanks as ever for your support. It means so much to everyone who works on the show. Onwards Series 6. Abigail's Song Lyrics

When you're alone, silence is all you know. When you're alone, silence is all you knowLet in the noise and let it grow.

When you're alone, silence is all you seeWhen you're alone, silence is all you'll beGive me your hand and come to me.

When you are here, music is all around. When you are near, music is all around. Open your eyes, don't make a sound.

Let in the shadow, let in the shadow,Let in the light of your bright shadow.

Let in the shadow, let in the shadow.Let in the light of your bright shadow.

Let in the light.Let in the light.Let in the light of your sweet shadow.

When you're alone, oh,Silence is all you know.Silence is all,Silence is all around.Silence is allSilence is all around
