Welcome!! After a long battle, Mike Wilhelm passed this summer.  Mike was oneof the original Charlatans---the band that kinda/sorta kicked o� theSan Francisco Sound in the mid-60s.  No less than Captain Trips, JerryGarcia, named MW as his favorite guitarist.  He was member of mid-era Flamin’ Groovies, had his own out�t called Loose Gravel andmade a couple of solo albums over the years including Rocks & Gravelwith Freddie Steady Krc and some other crack Austin players includingAlejandro Escovedo and Maryann Price.  Poison Idea just played their �nal show last month.  They’ve done thatbefore.  And may indeed do it again some year.  The �rst time was in1993 at LaLuna in Portland.  The show was captured live and the CDwas released by Sub Pop.  Good show.  So good that the band decidedto keep going.  And they have.  What most folks did not know is that theshow was also �lmed.  A four camera shoot resulted in a DVD of thatshow in its’ entirety.  For the �rst time, the DVD is available WITH theCD in one nice little highly a�ordable package.  Hear PI originals alongwith covers by Ramones, Wipers, G.I.S.M. and Bauhaus.  Sometimes Ithink Poison Idea may outlive us all (except for Keith Richards ofcourse). It’s almost THAT time of year.  You can almost hear Nat Cole or TheVelvet Fog singing “Chipmunks roasting on an open �re!”  Pages 7, 8, 9and 10 have the HOLIDAY titles we have available.  We range fromSwamp Dogg and NRBQ to the Pittsburgh Symphony Brass to MikeMarshall, Jane Siberry and Caspar Babypants!  Think about someeggnog and peruse this assortment.  You know we have titles you cansell.

Mike Wi lhelm, Rocks & GravelMike Wilhelm was Americana before Americana was cool. As a founding member of the legendary SanFrancisco Charlatans, Mike Wilhelm, guitarist and vocalist, pioneered the exploration of America's musicof its’ past. Blues, Folk & Jazz from the early 1900's to the then present day of the mid -960s. Mike andSteadyBoy Records owner/producer, Freddie Steady Krc, began their musical friendship in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Mike was playing with Flamin Groovies and Freddie was playing with Austin, TX-basedpower poppers, The Explosives. After Mike and Freddie completed a successful acoustic tour of NortherCalifornia and Nevada in the 1990s, Freddie got the idea to do a recording with Mike in Austin. Randy Poecame on board as co-producer with Freddie. They assembled a crack band including guests MaryannPrice and Alejandro Escovedo and, in two days, cut this Americana o�ering titled Rocks & Gravel.

Spätzer, DériveDérive is the debut by Spätzer, a new project by emerging multidisciplinary artist Aiken Bömers-Muller. Asgenerative-based compositions, Spätzer’s sound designs balance the formalist traditions of ambientmusic with an insouciant kismet, creating compelling soundscapes that gently invigorate the senses.Bömers-Muller has done his homework: Dérive conceptually draws on both Debord’s Situationalist textsas conceptual inspiration, and his direct experience as a matriculated stage actor. Swamp Dogg, An Awful Christmas and A Lousy New YearSwamp Dogg has done it again!
