Dear Breeder

Per Incanto’s 2018 book of 116 mares served, proved to be his best yet as far as quality goes. His sale results in January at Karaka endorsed that support especially for his fillies. He ended up in Book 1 the second leading active NZ sire with an average of $135k. He was the leading sire in Book 2 on average and finished Karaka with an average over Book 1, 2 and 3 of $100k.

You only get positive sale results like that when you do one thing. WIN on the track. You have to remember, Per Incanto’s first $15,000 service fee crop are still 2YO’s, his first four crops are off second tier mares. This season his progeny won both NZ’s premier Sprint and Mile races. Santa Monica in the Sistema Hcp Gr.1 and Shadows Cast in the Thorndon Mile Gr.1.

As well as stakes winners Indecision and Casaquinman he has sired nine other black type performers. His results have not been limited to New Zealand only. In Australia his runner to winner ratio sits at 61% and 7.9% runner to stakes winner.

In Hong Kong he has a runner to winner stakes ratio of 66% and 72% in Singapore.

Per Incanto is currently New Zealand’s #2 Sire at Stud.

Time Test as the new boy on the block gives breeders the opportunity to breed to the best. He has the support of a syndicate that includes the biggest breeders in New Zealand and covered a quality book of 115 mares. Time Test covered 20 black type performers and another 16 dams of stakes winners including three at Group level. His first crop of foals in the Northern Hemisphere are getting great reviews. Good bodied foals with plenty of leg and an attractive head – just like Dad. On the back of a supportive syndicate and the impressive looking foals he will serve a book of 100+ mares up there again this season.

Why wouldn’t he?

He’s an Ascot Track Record holder, by Dubawi, who has sired 167 stakes winners including 39 at Gr.1 level.

Leading the way for Nadeem in 2018/19 have been his three-year-olds; head-lined by the Dunedin and Gore Guineas winner Air Max, the dual stakes placed filly Mohaka and the 2000 Guineas place getter Sir Nate. Consistent Melbourne sprinter Princeton Spirit and the mare Tinkalicious are two other new black-type performers in 2019.

65% winners to runners5.5% stakes winner to runners.

Nadeem, the best valued proven, black type sire in NZ.

We take enormous pride in our boys and what they can do and have done for the passionate breeder. Whether it’s breeding to race or breeding to sell we look forward to working with you to achieve your ultimate mating with an LA Stallion in 2019.

Per Incanto’s 2018/19 Progeny Success

13 STAKES PERFORMERS INCLUDING TWO NEW GR.1’s

IN NZ’S PREMIER SPRINT AND MILE RACES.

With five crops of racing age, mostly conceived off service fees of $4,000 and $5,000, the impact Per Incanto has made on the racetracks of Australasia and Asia has been remarkable. As a result, the group winning sprinting son of Street Cry, same sire as WINX, is one of New Zealand's most in demand stallions.

Champion New Zealand First Season Sire by winners Runner-up in the Two-Year-Old Sires Premiership

for 2014/15

Champion New Zealand First Season Sire by winners and runner-up in the Two-Year-Old Sires Premiership for 2014/15, Per Incanto annexed the Champion New Zealand Three-Year-Old Sire by winners and Champion Second Season Sire by winners titles in 2015/16, defeating none other than Savabeel for the former award.

That early momentum has continued in spectacular fashion. Two new Gr.1 winners in 2019 and 13 stakes performers to date in season 2018/19, have Per Incanto currently New Zealands #2 Sire at Stud on the NZ Sires Premiership as at 8 May, 2019, behind the champion Savabeel.

CUTTING UP ROUGH

What’s apparent is the ability of his progeny to train on. A Gr.1 winner as a two-year-old and dual Group placed in Melbourne as a spring three-year-old, Dal Cielo was still winning Australian metropolitan races as a five-year-old. A winner at two, the big mare Indecision has gone to a new level as a four and five-year-old winning multiple black-type races.

With such an impressive line-up of existing racing talent and the produce of substantially upgraded books of mares set to debut in the next couple of seasons, the continued ascent of Per Incanto into a deserved position amongst the ranks of New Zealand’s leading stallions is assured.

Other Australian stakes performers include the Gr.3 and Listed winner Lanciato and the Queensland star Amanaat, winner of eight of his last ten starts, including success at black type level. Per Incanto’s runner to winner percentage in Australia is 61% and 7.9% for runner to stakes winner.

Per Incanto’s winners to runners ratio in Asia is 70%. Hong Kong Class 2 winner Time To Celebrate is his sire’s highest rated runner in Asia while Morethanlucky is dual stakes placed, running third in the Hong Kong Classic Mile and the Hong Kong Challenge Cup (both of which were formerly Gr.1 events before being re-classified last year).

Per Incanto’s popularity in the sales ring continued in 2019. At Karaka he was the second leading NZ based active sire on averages in Book 1 behind Savabeel with 12 yearlings selling for an average of $135k, and leading sire on average in Book 2, to average $100k for the entire Sale over Books 1, 2 and 3.

$100k Average across All Karaka Sales

Bearing a close physical resemblance to his-own sire, (Street Cry) at 16.1 hands and a dark bay, Per Incanto is an outstanding looking individual, athletic and possessed of an incredibly attractive head and outlook.

RAINBOW’S EDGE

A son of the legendary Dubawi who stands at £250,000, from the Gr.1 winning two-year Dansili mare Passage of Time, Time Test, a dual Gr.2 winner in his own right and rated 125 by Timeform, stood his first season at the English National Stud in 2018.

Son of the legendary Dubawi who stands at £250,000, from the Gr.1 winning two-year Dansili mare Passage of Time

Time Test is the quintessential modern day English stayer. Immaculately bred, athletic and blessed with a wonderful turn of foot, he was a high class performer who competed against the best Northern Hemisphere horses on the turf between a mile and 2000m over 14 career starts, winning six times with seven minor placings, culminating in stake earnings of 606,000 pounds.

A winner over 1400m at two, Time Test announced himself as a truly serious horse with a spectacular performance at his second three-

time test what matters...

year-old start when he broke the Royal Ascot 2000m track record. His next start was the Gr.1 Juddmonte International, where, on unsuitable wet ground, he ran fourth behind The Derby and Prix de L ‘Arc de Triomphe winner Golden Horn and The Grey Gatsby. Dropped back to a mile for his following start, he won the Gr.2 Joel Stakes at Newmarket in 1.35.8. The fifth and final race of his three-year-old campaign was in the Breeders Cup Turf Mile; starting equal third favourite, he was unplaced on a rain affected track.

At his second three-year-old start, he broke the Royal Ascot 2000m track record

Time Test started three times at four, all in the UK, yielding wins at Gr.2 and 3 level, both on good tracks, and a third placing in the Gr.1 Coral Eclipse Stakes on soft going.

Transferred to the New York stable of the leading American trainer Chad Brown for his five-year-old campaign, Time Test resumed with a second placing in a Grade 3 1800m on a “yielding” turf at Belmont Park before closing out his career with two second placed finishes in Gr.1 events, the latter to the Champion American 2017 Turf Horse and Breeders Cup Mile winner World Approval over 1 mile.

Bred and raced by Prince Kallid Abdullah’s Juddmonte Farms, Time Test boasts a pedigree second to

none on the world stage. With a record that epitomises genuineness against the best Northern Hemisphere pattern company between 1600m and 2000m and the rare ability to quicken off a fast pace, Little Avondale is delighted to offer Australasian breeders the opportunity to breed to Time Test.

The 2018/19 season has once again highlighted Nadeem’s ability to sire a good horse. Even with limited representation, the son of Redoute’s Choice has five new stakes performers in the season under review.

Leading the way in 2018/19 have been his three-year-olds; head-lined by the Dunedin and Gore Guineas winner Air Max, the dual stakes placed filly Mohaka and the 2000 Guineas place getter Sir Nate.

Consistent Melbourne sprinter Princeton Spirit and the mare Tinkalicious are two other new black-type performers in 2019.

In anyone’s language, 16 stakes winners and 65% winners to runners ratio are good figures but it’s his stakes winners to runners average of 5.5% that places him at the next level. The industry benchmark to be regarded as a serious getter of black-type winners is 5% and domestically there’s only a handful of stallions exceeding that figure.

Nadeem’s NZ results won’t have come as a surprise to enthusiasts who have followed the career of the Gr.1 winning two-year-old son of Redoute’s Choice since he retired to stud in Australia. Included among his 16 stakes winners are Gr.1 Golden Shaheen and dual Hong Kong group winner Sterling City, international Group 2 winners Mujaarib and Tajmeel and 2017 million dollar race winner Target In Sight.

An Australian and international siring record rivalled by only the top echelon of established

New Zealand stallions

With an Australian and international siring record rivalled by only the top echelon of established New Zealand stallions, Nadeem has been a welcome addition to the domestic stallion ranks, particularly for discerning breeders looking to add black-type to their mares breeding record. At a 2019 service fee of $5,000 plus GST, Nadeem represents outstanding value.

TINKALICIOUS

KARAVALI

With an elite level ratio of runners to winners Nadeem is the

strike-rate king for producing winning race horses.
