Registration Requirements:

• Must be actively engaged in job search and ready to obtain employment upon

successful completion.

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

• Must be prepared for a background check.*

• *Having a criminal background will not necessarily stop you from

registering.

• Must be able to pass a drug screening test.

• High School Diploma/HSE/GED preferred; may be required.

• Other registration requirements may apply. Staff will discuss this during intake.

Steps to Register:

• Open registration is held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 12

pm.

• Please bring:

• A valid state ID (not expired)

• Social Security Card

• Resume

• You must take and pass the TABE test.

• The TABE test is administered Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at

12:45 pm.

• You may come in and do the registration paperwork and take the TABE

test on the same day. Otherwise you will be given a ticket to return for the

test.

• You will be scheduled for an interview with a NMIC staff member to assess your

commitment to completing the program and getting a job.

• You will be expected to attend an orientation before programming begins.
