Brief tutorial on setting up a Chromebook, using Enterprise Enrollment, within the New York City Department of Education (please note - in order to be fully effective you will need to know your local wifi settings. In addition, if you are not NYCDOE ignore the slides on proxy settings. These proxy settings only work within a DOE building)

PREFACEAll DOE Chromebooks SHOULD be “enterprise enrolled” with a master user within the destination domain using the following directions before any other user can use the device.

(you don’t need too but it is highly recommended for ease of use, management, etc).

selecting “Other Wi-Fi network”

name drop-down menu at the bottom

STEP 10After Ctrl-Alt-E the login screen will switch to “enterprise enrollment”You should have a standard domain account setup to act as the “owner” of the

device - a single account you use to enroll every device in your domain

STEP 12AAfter successful “enterprise enrollment” you will return to a standard

“Sign in” screenNotice the bottom - it states “This device is managed by ps10.org”

Not required but useful to “set ownership” of each device. Gives every device a standard initial user - helpful to keep track of setup and for future troubleshooting
