Greetings!! Well, I have been back in the States a month now. It has been a whirlwind of travel to see family members, celebrate the holidays and settle back into life in the States. It has also been relaxing and rejuvenating when I’ve actually been home. I’ve spent time with family, friends and, of course, my dog, while working as a full-time substitute teacher at the Medicine Lake School. They’ve kept me working every day since the beginning of the New Year. I’m currently long-term substitute for the music teacher but will have many different teaching experiences. I’m adjusting back to the frigid temperatures of northeastern Montana. There are days that I wish I was back in Shell where it is much, much warmer. My friends down there make sure to remind me with pictures and texts. What is the next step for me? Many people have asked since my return was sooner than I planned. After much thought and prayer I have decided to apply to teach at the Nate Saint Memorial School back in Shell, Ecuador. The Nate Saint Memorial School began as a dream of Mission Aviation Fellowship pilot, Nate Saint. He was one of five missionaries martyred by the Waorani Indians on Janu- ary 8, 1956. Before his death, Nate expressed how important it was for children to at- tend school close to home and be with their parents during their younger years. I also believe that it is very important for missionary children to get a quality education while they are living outside of the United States. I hope that I can be one of the great teach- ers providing that opportunity at the Nate Saint Memorial School. I will have my own classroom and will teach in English. This job will start in August and run until June of 2016. It will be very different from teaching at Casa de Fe but I am ex- cited for this new opportunity and journey. This is a volunteer position just like my last one. I have a small amount left in my CornerStone mission fund, but I will need to raise about $10,000 more to cover my year at the school plus travel expenses. My heart is still in Ecuador and I feel that I am being called back to serve. My ministry won’t end with Casa de Fe. I’ve definitely learned in the past six months that it really isn’t my plan, it is His. If you can help me fulfill His plan for me, while glorifying Him, I would greatly appreciate it.
