TRANSCRIPT
Why Resource Enriched Practice?
• Students play thousands of standards-aligned resources (like videos and games) to help them improve;
• Students try thousands of standards-aligned practice questions and earn more stars for correct answers (get 5 to master a skill!);
• Students see how close they are to mastery on a particular skill and get a clear understanding of how they're progressing on Common Core standards.
• Skills become available as you send students assessments on those skills, so practice is aligned to what you’re doing in your classroom.
Let’s see how it works!
Student Log in
Students visit nutmegeducation.com, select “Student Login” in the upper right and enter their usernames.
You can view your students’ usernames in the Classes & Students section. Hit the “Print Student ID Cards” button to print out one-‐page student ID cards for each of your students that contains their username and other log-‐in information.
(1)Practice tab. Students select the practice tab to reach the Practice area.
(2) Standard. The panels in this area contain all the standards that you’ve assessed a student on.
(3) Star Performance. The number of stars indicates the student’s progress on that skill. Nutmeg translates student performance on your assessments into stars to create a baseline for each skill. The better the score on a standard in your assessments, the more stars they start off with in Nutmeg. Students can then try practice and earn stars by answering questions correctly. Students can lose stars they’ve earned through practice, but not stars they’ve earned through from your assessments.
