Nursery Classroom Newsletter May 2017 Dates to Remember Classroom News The children really enjoyed our last month theme: “People who Helps & Transportation.” They loved playing in our role-play area and dressing-up. We also really enjoyed our “Earth Day” celebration and Dentist visit from Special Dental Care Centre. This month our Nursery theme will be “Under the Sea.” The children will learn to name and recognize different sea creatures. They will finger paint the ocean to prepare the layout for a colorful array of fish and other creatures. They will create their fish and sea life by using a variety of art materials including paint, foil, paper plates, crape paper etc. They will weigh, measure and pour polished stones and water. They will also work together on some water spray art. We believe this will be interesting and fulfilled learning activities for all our children. 13 th of May- Preschool Annual Concert 27 th of May- First day of Ramadan Theme of the Month: “Under the Sea” Books of the Month: “Sharing a shell” “Little Fin the singing fish” ”Tiddler” ”The snail and the whale”.

Classroom News

Reminders • Homework book files will be sent home

every Thursday, please return it on Sunday.

• We have a No Nuts Policy due to some children being allergic. Please do not send nuts or nut butters such as Nutella, peanut butter, walnuts etc.

• Please ensure your child brings a water bottle with their name labeled on it to school daily.

• Healthy snacks are encouraged. No chips, sweets or chocolates are allowed please.

• Please ensure school bags contain a change of clothes in case of any accidents.

• Should you have any queries or any concerns please don’t hesitate to contact or visit me.
