Overview The Nurse Aide I Career & College pathway includes classroom instruction, skills lab, and clinical experience. Students will exit the course prepared to be a competent nursing assistant. Upon completion of this course students will be adequately prepared to take the State Competency Test and be placed on the NC Division of Health Service Regulations Nurse Aide I Registry. NURSE AIDE I CAREER & COLLEGE PROMISE PATHWAY www.cccc.edu/ccp Eligibility Senior standing Satisfactory high school academic progress Access to regular, reliable transportation Social Security Card (US citizen or permanent resident) Completion of Health Sciences I & Health Sciences II Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Negative tuberculosis test* Updated immunizations records Clear criminal background check* Negative drug screening* Expectations Possess strong commitment from the student Attend orientation with parent Attend all classes (at CCCC and at the high school) Attend six Saturday clinicals Abide by the dress code Maintain a grade of 80 or higher Abide by all Nurse Aide I program rules as outlined in the program handbook * Will be completed upon acceptance to the program

Application ProcessSubmit a completed CCCC Career & College application to your Career & College Advisor.

This program is open to students in Chatham, Harnett, and Lee county schools.

Thirty students will be accepted each semester in each county.
