Students have been participating very enthusiastically in the rehearsals and thanks to the support of a few parents and staff, costumes have come along very nicely. I have been most im- pressed by the students willingness to take on new ideas, go with the flow in last minute changes and adjust according to feedback. This will be sure to stand them in good stead for future challenges. Participating in these activities while also doing end of year assessment tasks but so far they have been up to the challenge. They will need to ensure they go into next week well rested. If parents and carers come to the matinee perfor- mance on the Thursday, students may go home early, however they will need to be returned to school by 6:00pm to prepare for the night time shows. We will be celebrating the end of the last performance with a supper under the COLA for students and parents. Can you please bring a plate to contribute to the supper. These can be left in the school canteen before the performance. At the end of this week, students in Years 5 & 6 will be packing up the Stemshare resources and sending them off to their next school. This was a pilot for the classes in what I think has been a real- ly positive experience for the students. Notably skills that continued to develop were: Persistence to solving problems Strategising Paying attention to detail And working collaboratively There are other kits available as part of this project and we will look to continue to be involved in this type of project. Students in Year 6 will sit the CWA/RSL Bursary exam on Monday morning at Woolomin Public School. Good luck to those students involved. K-2 students will be heading in to town to see the 91 Story Treehouse on Monday December 3. Notes will need to be returned to school next week to allow for organisation of this activity. Mrs Wor- ley has also organised a visit to Woolworths, where students will learn about healthy eating and where our produce comes from. Thanks for your continued support. Stephen Gadd We are looking at completing a chessboard pavement project in the school grounds and are looking for keen willing helpers to be part of the project. Please let us know if you can help, contact NPS office or Kelly 0431241332.
