40. Which design does not belong in this group?

I am sure I have listed the answers emode considers correct. I disagreed with them on the choice of some questions.

For e.g. number 4 is a ridiculous question, you suggest an answer that is ironic and frankly why not? There is no such thing as a correct answer for that.

But there is an answer that makes more sense. Because of the use of the word "even" they are looking for a contrast.

Page 13: Number Sequence e

I agree with you about number 16. That is simply a mistake on emode's part. They include an answer that is a much better answer than what they expect.

16 is their worst question.

I forgot to post the shapes for 33 and I don't remember them. But your line of thinking would be sound if true.

40 was the one I liked the most. The pattern is, indeed weak but it was the only one that made me think. The weakness of the pattern is it's strength.

Anywho, welome to Able2Know! Better timewasters here.

The Model IQ Test

Question 1: Please enter the missing figure: 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, ...

EXPLANTION:- The right answer is: 34. Reason: The two previous numerals are added. Example: 3 + 5 = 8

Question 2: Please enter the missing figure: 4, 5, 8, 17, 44, ...

EXPLANTION:-

The right answer is: 125. Reason: Multiply the previous numeral by 3 and deduct 7 from the result. Example: 4 x 3 = 12; 12 - 7 = 5. Or (4+3^0)=5, (5+3^1)=8, (8+3^2)=17, (17+3^3)=44 ==> (44+3^4)=125

Question 3: Please enter the missing figure: 3, 4, 8, 17, 33, ...

EXPLANTION:-

The right answer is: 58. The starting numeral is 3 in position 1. The following numeral is 3 + (1 x 1) Example: 8 + (3 x 3) = 17

Question 4: Please enter the missing figure: 11, 9, 7, 5, 3, ...
