BID NOTICE

Sealed bids will be received by the Borough of Downingtown, Municipal Government Center, 4 W. Lancaster

Ave., Downingtown, Chester County, PA 19335 until 3:00 p.m. prevailing time on Wednesday, September 1,

2021 for purchase of asphalt materials as follows: The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, which must be paid to workers employed on this project, are incorporated in the Contract Documents.

Bid packets may be picked up at the Borough of Downingtown Administration Office, 4 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding holiday) or downloaded via the Borough website https://www.downingtown.org.

Bids shall be on forms

furnished by the Borough of Downingtown (PennDOT Forms).

Bids shall be sealed and clearly marked “BID FOR ROAD MATERIALS”, addressed to Stephen T. Sullins, Borough Manager, Borough of Downingtown, Municipal Government Center, 4 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335. Bids received after 3:00 p.m. on September 1, 2021 will not be accepted. Bids shall be opened and recorded at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the Municipal Government Center. The Borough reserves the right to (1) reject any or all bids or portions thereof; (2) advertise for new bids; (3)

waive technical defects in the bids as is deemed in the best interest of the Borough; and (4) the Borough of Downingtown will not be responsible for trucking delays due to scheduling, etc. Stephen T. Sullins Borough Manager
