EXPANSION 1945 TO 2019

HISTORYFounded in 1945, the company was started in the original company building in Haag am Hausruck in Austria. Traditional handicraft in the form of chip boxes and painted country style furniture were the first products, which the young company put on the market. In 1990 the XXXLutz furniture retail group entered the German market. In 2000 the expansion to the Czech Republic commenced. Since 2008 the XXXLutz Group is also present in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia with their discount furniture line Möbelix. Since 2010 the XXXLutz Group continues its expansion to the Southeast of Europe, Sweden and Switzerland. 2018 the market entry was fixed in Romania. Serbia will follow in 2019. DEVELOPMENT OF TURNOVER 1977 TO 2019The XXXLutz Group has continuously and steadily grown over the pastthree decades. The unique focus on customer service has provided the XXXLutz furniture retail group with continuous growth extending far beyond the general economic development.With more than 4.4 billion Euros turnover in 2019, the XXXLutz Group is one of the largest furniture retailgroups in the world.

An average of six furniture stores was opened each year by the XXXLutz Group over the last decades. Today the XXXLutz Group operates more than 260 furniture stores in Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Switzerland and Romania. The logistics department plays a central role too, supplying all branches from large central warehouses.
