Role & Job Description

TEAM MANAGEMENT

The CCP will lead the whole Conference Committee which will comprise

of the core team (CCVPs) and extended team (CC TLs and Teamsters).

Responsibilities include:

Establish structure of the CC

Develop JDs and select CCVPs

Facilitate selection of extended CC

Track performance of the CC

Enable execution of team plan to deliver NTS 2015

CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT

Responsible for timely execution of NTS 2015 plan

Regular and seamless communication with the MC EB

Accountable to the National Plenary & the Conference Manager

Overall responsible for NTS 2015 to be executed as envisioned

General Information The position is open to Alumni, Ex-LC VPs, Ex-LCPs or members with experience in

Conference Management at least at National Level.

Candidates for the position have to have a very good understanding Lagos’ business

environment and must also be willing to be physically present in Lagos state for the major

part of the working term.

The CCP term is from 1st July 2015 to 10th October 2015 (This however can be subject to

change)

The CCP will be provided accommodation for the duration of term if not originally resident

in Lagos, other requirements for smooth start of operations will also be provided by MC

(largely dependent on availability of funds).

For the duration of work the CCP will be officially hired by AIESEC Nigeria and will receive

all rights and privileges associated with working on the MC, this is also subject to final

revision and agreement by all related parties.

Application Process 16th June 2015 – Application Opening

27th June 2015 (23:59 GMT +1) – Application Closure

28th & 29th June 2015 – Interview with MC EB

30th June 2015 – Results Announcement

1st July 2015 – Start of CCP Role

Application Package 1. CV containing all your relevant working experience, within and outside AIESEC

(Max. of 2 Pages)

2. Application Questionnaire (Maximum of 11 pages, font size minimum 11)

3. Two Endorsement letters – Two endorsement letters with contact details of the

authors (signed). One should be provided by a corporate/external stakeholder

that has worked with you during your AIESEC experience; the second

endorsement should be from the LCP of your home entity.

Application Submission 1. Submit dully completed application packages on or before 23:59 GMT +1, 26th

June 2015, to James Akume – MC VP OD 15/16 ([email protected])

and Esther Ifyede – MC VP BD 15.16 ([email protected])

2. Send the Zip File with all the documents in the format;

“CCP_NTS2015_NAME_SURNAME.ZIP.” You will receive confirmation within 12

hours.

Application Questionnaire 1. Why are you applying for the role of Conference committee President of NTS 2015?

2. List the 3 most important experiences in AIESEC you’ve had, what did you do and what

were your achievements, how will they contribute to the role you are applying for?

3. What are your key strengths and weaknesses? How will they affect the role you’re

applying for? What according to you will be your biggest personal challenge in the role of

a CCP?

4. What is your vision of NTS 2015? What are the Measures of Successes by which you will

consider it to be a successful event?

5. What do you see as the impact of NTS 2015 on AIESEC Nigeria and Nigeria as a country?

6. Please state how you see the relationship between the CC and the MC, also state if you

expect any particular challenges with the relationship?

7. Please create a calendar of main milestones of the conference starting from 1st July till the

start and end of the conference (22nd – 28th September, 2015).

8. What is the CC structure that you want to implement? Describe ideal profile and

necessary skill/characteristics required for each of the CC VP specific to his/her position?

9. Suggest ideas or strategies on how you would use the special events to enhance AIESEC’s

visibility in the student, corporate, government & NGO sectors. Please feel free to add any

inputs for Special events (confirmed special events are; Omolayole Management Lecture

Series, Career Fair, Partner Launch)

10. Please evaluate the last two National Conferences hosted by AIESEC Benin & Ife,

what are the biggest learning points and how will you ensure their implementation for NTS

2015’s realization?

11. Assess the crucial financial sources of income, how do you plan to properly service

these sources, propose the timeline of those activities and point out all crucial points.
