I’ve been amazed at the phenomenal interest that the secular media have expressed recently about our Cre-

ation Museum (set to open on May 28).For instance, on one particular Friday,

we received 11 different calls or emails from the media, including ones from Brazil, Switzerland, and of course the USA (including The New York Times).

The most unusual “press” interview occurred with HBO comedian/commentator Bill Maher (and formerly with the TV program Politically Incorrect). As I wrote in my monthly letter to supporters a few days ago, Maher created an elaborate deception to “sneak” into the AiG office to interview me.

Recently as well, America’s leading anti-creationist Dr. Eugenie Scott (head of the innocently sounding National Center for Science Educa-tion) accompanied a BBC reporter as a part of a special program on creation/evolution.

Soon after, a reporter for the Russian-language version of Newsweek spent two hours with me in my office. And about the same time, a travel reporter with The New York Times interviewed me for an article on new evolution exhibits in major museums around America (in New

York City, Chicago, Boston, etc.), and how our Creation Museum compared to them.

The media list could go on and on—and I expect the media coverage will only greatly

increase the closer we get to the museum’s opening.

There’s something I’ve heard over and over again from various members of the secular media that has been highly encour-aging to me. It usually takes the form of a comment they almost always make:

“We heard this was a quality place, but we didn’t realize it was so first class. Such quality. So professional.”

The reporters often con-tinue with words like: “I’d say the quality rivals any-thing you’d see at leading museums and even theme parks. Now, I don’t necessar-ily agree with your message, but congratulations on how you’ve presented it.”

As I think back on such comments, I am reminded of the account of the Queen of Sheba when she visited Solomon. Now, in no way are we comparing ourselves with the works accomplished by Solomon (e.g., the mag-nificent palace he built) or his great wisdom. But the Queen of Sheba, as recorded in 2 Chronicles 9:6, said: “… and indeed the half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me.”

To me, it’s so exciting—so honoring to the God of

Creation—that the secular world is congratulating AiG and its talented museum staff on the professionalism of what has been done here. The quality helps people take our message more seriously that the Bible is true, and that the gospel message of Jesus Christ is also true.

When you visit us in a few weeks or months, I believe you, too, will make a comment similar to the Queen of Sheba’s. While you may have been following the construction of the museum through this newsletter or on our website, until you have visited and taken a construction tour,* I think

it will surprise you with what God has blessed us with here.

People have declared, “Wow—we didn’t know it was like this!” Indeed, there is no way you can fully grasp what this place is like until you come and visit—“the half … was not told me.” You have to expe-rience it.

I often think of my late father when I walk through the Creation Museum and consider the quality of what’s been done by Patrick Marsh and his gifted crew. My father, you see, always instilled in us as children that “whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men” (Colos-sians 3:23).

I hope you will come soon and experience this great thing the Lord has done at the Creation Museum.

May I make a suggestion about timing? Of course, you can visit when the doors open in late May, but I want to recommend something to you: bring your family to our family camp in July (only about 30 miles from the museum) and also visit the museum (see the ad to the left). Attending this conference and visiting our museum would be a terrific

one-two combination (full-time registration for the family camp includes free admission to the museum that week and the year to follow).

At family camp, you’ll be presented with great apologetics teaching, which will equip you and your family (by the way, why not invite your pastor?) to defend your faith in today’s secularized world. We have a great line-up of speakers, including Brian Edwards of England.

So … plan to visit the Creation Museum and get ready for your “Queen of Sheba” experience! *Due to the intensity of construc-tion right now, no tours are being conducted until further notice.

Did you know that the creation museum in northern kentucky (west of the cincinnati airport) is a 2-hour drive from columbus, Oh (the blue star)? the creation museum (yellow star) is strategically situated! It’s within a one-day drive of almost 2/3 of the u.S. population!

By the time you read this newslet-ter, the two large

exhibits pictured here—both two stories high—will be very near completion inside our Creation Museum.

Indeed, with an opening scheduled for May 28, the museum staff is making every day count, with many of them now working six days a week to get the job done.

Our large two-story dinosaur exhibit features a 40-foot-long T. rex model on the top level, with a the-ater that will show a dino-saur film made especially for the museum, underneath. On two floors, we’ll tell the true story/account of how dinosaurs are better explained by the Bible, not evolution.

At the same time, car-penters are finishing the Noah’s Ark construction scene. In the photo to the right, a lower corner of the Ark (equal in volume to 1% of the actual Ark) dominates the scene. Guests will be able to walk through both levels of the Ark and experience its massive size. We trust it will challenge any wrong think-ing that visitors might have about the Bible’s account of the Ark and its capacity to hold its cargo.

Please pray for the museum team and their families, financial provision, and wisdom in these final busy days of preparation. And start thinking about

AiG encounters opposition to the creation/gospel message in

many ways. Here is one that happened recently.

AiG often has to seek permission to use a specific photo for our Answers magazine, museum exhibit, or other project. Well, we received a resounding “no” from one pho-tographer when a Creation Museum staff member requested the use of a particular photograph for an exhibit.

“It is rare for me to refuse the use of my pictures. They appear on many religious sites, Christian as well as Muslim. However, one look at your site convinces me that your museum seeks to pronounce a point of view that is so utterly contrary to mine, that I hereby make that exception.

“I realize everyone has a right to an opinion, but I think that the very tone of your site is so self-confident

istry. “I was a lukewarm Christian.

My wife talked me into attend-ing a homeschool conference in Columbus last year. Thanks to Ken Ham and Mike Riddle, I was encouraged for once in my life regarding my faith.

permanent Ira rollover proposed

We like to periodically give our supporters an update

on any tax-law changes—or even proposed changes—that can affect charitable giving.

One of the most important changes made recently was the passage of the “Pension Protection Act of 2006.” This Act permits individuals age 70 ½ and older to make gifts up to $100,000 from their IRAs to qualified charities like AiG, without incurring any income tax.

By the way, this applies to both traditional IRAs and Roth IRAs, but not to other types of retirement plans such as pensions, 401(k) plans or similar plans.

This law is set to expire on

December 31, 2007, but the good news is that steps are now being taken in Congress to make the charitable IRA rollover a permanent giving option.

This new proposal, called the “Public Good IRA Rollover Act of 2007,” would remove the $100,000 annual limit on IRA donations, and would allow IRA owners age 59 ½ or older to make tax-free gifts from their IRAs. So, stay tuned for further developments. Did you know that the apostle Paul used the book of Genesis in evan-

gelizing? In Acts chapter 17, we read

the account of his ministry to the Greeks. Paul went to Mars Hill in Athens to preach to the Greek philosophers.

When Paul spoke about the Cross and the Resurrection, the Greek philosophers responded by rejecting this teaching as foolish. As we read the rest of this chapter, however, we find that Paul used a method of evangelism that caused some of these people not only to listen to what he said, but were actually converted!

You see, the Greek culture—many centuries before Darwin—was permeated with evolutionary ideas. They had no concept of the Creator

God, and had no basis in their culture to understand that they were sinners under the Curse of Genesis chapter 3.

To reach this evolution-based culture, Paul carefully explained the message of creation. He chal-lenged their wrong ideas. He then presented the message of the Cross again.

Christians need to wake up and understand that our Western society has become like the Greeks: indoctrinated in evolution, and with little understanding of sin.
