NSQG Until We Meet Again Challenge #2: Bucket List

Joyce DrenthSince I had already constructed a 'Bucket List' quilt, I decided to attempt one of those techniques I had yet-to-try. Thus, I figured out how to construct a trispective quilt. The first quilt is my challenge quilt from our prior quilt show: "... and Everything Nice". The middle quilt is my challenge quilt from this past year, "Bucket List". The third side is "Ring Around the Rosie" that I made for one of my granddaughters. It was in the last show at Prairie Stone.

Janice HedbergShop Hop Australia My quilt probably should be called a “pipe dream” rather than something on a bucket list. Since the millennium fabric exchanges I have been fascinated by Australian quilts and quilters. I loved seeing the fabrics and looking up the towns where the quilters lived. In preparation for this quilt, many Australian quilt shops have been visited, virtually. I guess for now that will have to do.

Cindy OlsenI have a bucket of crabs on my bucket list. In college at U of Maryland, a popular on-campus activity was a crab boil. One weekend I went on a day trip with friends to Chesapeake Bay and we went crab fishing. You use twine and chicken necks in the early morning hours. They grab on and hang on for dear life while you haul them into the boat! Yum! My crabby is a bit crooked but a great memory if an awesome day. Someday I'll go back.

Karen SnellMy quilt “Whale Watching” is inspired by Cheryl Lynch mosaic designs. I was going to take her mosaic class but ended up watching a 10 minute video I found on youtube. It finished at 7’ x 9”

My husband and I honeymooned in Vancouver. We didn’t have enough time to go whale watching and it has been on my bucket list ever since.
