Poster Activity1. We will explain that we are all going to make our special aquariums, using the stencils and colouring pencils / crayons.2. They can have as many animals in their aquariums as they like and encourage they use lots of different colours like our aquarium in the admissions area.33. Whilst the pupils are colouring, a member of staff will move around the room, answering any questions showing the shark jaw, crab moult etc. Ask them questions about colours and numbers again - “That’s a nice starfish, how many legs does it have? etc...”44. Once everyone has finished - make sure the aquariums are labelled with the child’s name.5. Our staff will explain that the children are going to have a walk around our special aquarium and keep looking our for any animals you have in your aquarium or you have learnt about today.66. You will be able to come back and collectt the posters later or they can take them now.

Question & Answer ActivityA member of staff will hold up the laminated sheets of animals and ask very basic questions about the animals focusing on colours shapes and numbers. Examples below:

StStarfish: Q: How many legs does a starfish have? A: 5

Octopus: Q: This one has a lot more legs, does anyone know how many legs octopus have? A: 8

Clownfish: Q: What colours are the clownfish? (Nemos) A: Orange, black and white! - [Mention you might see clownfish of other colours in the centre.]

Crab: Q: How do crabs catch their dinner? AA: [Clue: Do a crab impression with the claws.] With their Claws

Turtle: Q: How old can turtles grow? A: Over 100 years.

Shark: Q: What do sharks have lots of?AA: [Clue: Do a big teethy smile] Teeth.

Seahorses: Q: How to seahorses hold on to seaweed? A: With their monkey like tail.
