Project Objective
Public Health Department and Directorate of Medical Education and Research plan to promote, nurture and sustain a mutually beneficial and symbolic relationship between Maharashtra and the Indian Diaspora. The departments are committed to strengthen the relation by providing various opportunities in the healthcare services sector. Collaborations may happen in the areas of services wherein there would be setting up of Medical institutions of overseas Indians as an NGO agency. A databank of Non-Resident Indian medical professionals will be created, along with their specialty and interest in participating in projects in Maharashtra. It would enable NRI physicians to be matched with specific projects in the State. Non-medical professional entrepreneurs who wish to setup and or participate in health projects could also use the opportunity. The departments shall also facilitate the volunteer work of NRI medical and paramedical professionals and will also volunteer through health camps. Since the overseas medical professionals are well trained in hospital based practices, their skills can also be utilized and the quality of the healthcare can also be improved by linking them with various hospitals.
There can be linkages in the areas of academic medicine, research and education as well wherein NRI physicians can be linked to various medical colleges, medical research and medical education within Maharashtra. There can be guest lectures, conferences, workshops, demonstration of special skills, clinical meetings, research work and lectures via video-conference as well.
NRI registration is a system which will help NRI doctors register themselves to offer their services within the state of Maharashtra. This application will help create a database of all such registered NRI doctors whose skills and specializations may be used to offer better services as mentioned above within various hospitals across the state.

Any NRI doctor wishing to register himself needs to follow these steps –

1 Accessing the main page of the Application
- Navigate to http://www.maha-arogya.gov.in/ and thereafter click on the ‘NRI Doctors’ option under the ‘e-Governance Projects’ section.
This opens up the -
http://www.healthnriregistration.maharashtra.gov.in , the home page of the application.
2 Main Page - Go to ‘Registration’ module.
1. Registration Module – Personal Information
3 Registrations Title Select the appropriate title from the dropdown values - Mr.- Ms.- Dr.- Prof.
4 Registrations First Name Enter your ‘First Name’.
5 Registrations Middle Name Enter your ‘Middle Name’.
6 Registrations Last Name Enter your ‘Last Name’.
7 Registrations Gender Use the dropdown to select the gender as ‘Male’ or ‘Female’.
8 Registrations Date of Birth Enter your Date of birth in ‘dd-mm-yyyy’ format.
9 Registrations Nationality Enter your ‘Nationality’.
10 Registrations Professional Occupation Enter your ‘Professional Occupation’.
11 Registrations Basic Qualification Enter your ‘Basic Qualification’.

Enter the name of the hospital / firm where you are currently employed.
16 Registrations Photograph Upload your passport size photograph in JPEG format
17 Registrations Professional Summary
Upload a professional summary containing academic details, professional experience, publications / presentations details in Microsoft Word file format.
2. Registration Module – Residential Address and Contact Information
18 Registrations Country Select the ‘Country’ of your residence from the dropdown list provided.
19 Registrations Address Enter the ‘Address’.
20 Registrations Pin Code Enter the ‘Pin Code’.
21 Registrations Mobile Number Enter the ‘Mobile Number’.
22 Registrations Landline Number Enter the ‘Landline Number’.
23 Registrations Fax Number Enter the ‘Fax Number’.
24 Registrations Email Address Enter the ‘Email Address’.
25 Registrations Secondary Email Address (optional) Enter the ‘Secondary Email Address’.
3. Registration Module – Service Details (Maximum three options for Service Details)
26 Registrations Service Type Select the ‘Service Type’ from the dropdown provided.
27 Registrations Details regarding Service Offering
Provide the details regarding the service offering.
28 Registrations District Name Select the ‘District Name’ from the dropdown provided.

29 Registrations Institution Type Select the ‘Institution Type’ from the dropdown provided.
30 Registrations Location Select the ‘Location’ from the dropdown provided.
31 Registrations Institution Name Select the ‘Institution Name’ from the dropdown provided.
32 Registrations From Date Select the Date from which you wish to offer services.
33 Registrations To Date Select the date till which you wish to render the services.

Enter the details regarding any support that you require from the department.
35 Registrations Save Click on ‘Save’ button to save all the details entered as above.

For the Department -
Report – Any official can perform ‘Search’ for the details of the NRI doctors who have registered in the application. For this, following steps need to be followed –

2 Log In - Enter the ‘Username’.
Enter the ‘Password’.
3 Report - Once the appropriate values are selected and the ‘Search’ option is clicked, details of all the NRI Doctors who have registered as applicable get displayed.
4 Report - Use the ‘Reset’ button to clear the details entered to start afresh.
5 Report - Use the ‘Generate Report’ button to generate report and to take print out.
Subsequently in PDF format or Microsoft Excel format.

View Option – Any entry can be viewed in details by clicking on the ‘View’ icon. The detailed View Screen will look as follows –
