• Note that summaries of all major Board decisions will be made public to the community

• Opportunity to directly influence and impact the Nonprofit Starter Pack roadmap

• Invitation to speaking opportunities on behalf of the Nonprofit Starter Pack project

What do Nonprofit Starter Pack Advisory Board Members get?Benefits

• Establish and maintain Nonprofit Starter Pack guideline documents

• Clearly articulate what should and should not be included in Nonprofit Starter Pack

• You do not need to know Apex or any advanced technical concepts

• Prioritize community-contributed feature requests

• Vote on community-contributed abstracts

• Confirm that contributions are well-documented and are incorporated seamlessly into existing knowledgebase

• Represent the Nonprofit Starter Pack project to the community and escalate community feedback and concerns

• Evangelize Nonprofit Starter Pack contribution in external developer communities

What is expected of Nonprofit Starter Pack Advisory Board Members?Responsibilities

• The key here is that organization seats are for those whose primary job is to work with a single organization, and not in a consultant capacity

• The organization must be using Nonprofit Starter Pack 3 in their production instance

• Only one Nonprofit Starter Pack Advisory Board Member per nonprofit organization per year

• Members are nominated and elected as individuals to represent the interests of the community, not on behalf of their organizations

• Terms are for one year

• Nominations are solicited new each year

• Members may serve no more than 2 consecutive years

3 Members per year from nonprofit organizationsOrganization Seats

• Members can be either from ISV or SI Partner organizations

• Should have significant experience with implementing and integrating with Nonprofit Starter Pack 3

• While Members are not required to participate in the Salesforce Partner Program or Foundation Partner program, it’s always about Trust. Partner Members must have a Power of Us Hub profile connected to their consulting/partner organization, not a client organization.

• This is not a marketing, sales or lead generation opportunity

• Members are nominated and elected as individuals to represent the interests of the community, not on behalf of their organizations or an app package

Nomination Process

• Week of June 15, 2015 – Nominations Open

• July 13, 2015 – Nomination form closes at end of day

• July 15, 2015 – Nominations posted to Power of Us Hub and voting begins

• July 31, 2015 – Voting Closes

• Early August 2015 - Nonprofit Starter Pack Advisory Board Announced

• Terms begin upon announcement

Terms run until end of July 2016. Nominations open again in June 2016.

• People should nominate themselves! While nominating others is flattering, we’re most interested in nominees who understand and accept the responsibilities of serving on the Board

• Once confirmed eligible to serve, a post will be started in the NPSP Group in the Hub – one for nonprofit organizations, one for partners

• Nomination essays will be attached to each post as comments

• Post will be a poll with a choice for each name

• While liking a comment or the post is fine, any extra comments will be discouraged and deleted

• The top 3 vote-getters per organization type and per unique organization will be invited to join the Board

• Nomination submissions will be accepted until end of day July 13th and voting begins on July 15th

• Voting closes on July 31, 2015 - Board Terms begin August 2015
